Jr. Jazz Little League Basketball

The Burley Lions Club Jr. Jazz basketball girls season is complete and the boys season is underway. A special thanks to the coaches, who give of their time, the players, who make it fun to watch, the scorekeepers and referees who volunteer several hours each season, Lion Sam and Lion Larry for their coordination and Owen McBride for opening and closing the building each week. The cost to be involved with the program is either $15.00 per child, or $5.00 per child and a good used coat, which is donated to the Mini-Cassia Christmas Council. The Jr. Jazz Coordinator, when speaking to our club in 2003, was shocked to learn how low our entry fee was. He figured we were mathmatically challenged, when considering his Jr. Jazz Salt Lake City office charges us $9.00 per registration. There is no lower fee in the Jr. 'Jazz-dom'. Our club takes a bit of pride in that fact.
